    Friends, i wondered could anybody tell me what the flash is on this helmet,please?

    Remarkably there is a stamp on the helmet, BMB 1943, and a lot of the flash still remains, though i can really only make out green stripe on the right and pale blue on the left?

    Cant comment on the flash but I can say that BMB stands for Briggs Motor Bodies which was a car factory used to produce helmets. I have one similar made out of lower grade steel intended for factory workers or home guard.

    Would it be Royal signals.
