    A standard Mk2 shell, but can find no maker name/date,with textured paint to the outside & smooth in.
    Liner also has no maker mark or date, but is very different from a normal liner,which makes me feel this is an officer private purchase. No doubt bought at an gentleman's outfitters where he probably acquired his uniform.

    I wonder if it was used on the home front by someone like Capt. Mainwaring? Another nice find and a pity there's no outfitter's label inside.

    Hi Aaron, I think you are right about the liner. The central leather chinstrap addition also makes me lean towards an officer. Leon.
