    Default Mk2 Wardens Messenger

A very worn but interesting helmet, an W over an M to the front, & an M to the rear.
Which makes me feel it's an messenger for the wardens service, or could be someone who was a warden as well as an messenger?
The helmet is dated 1939 & made by BMB, the liner also 39 but made by TTC.

In my local town there is a story of a warden/messenger with the w and m on front and back of his helmet and depending on which duty he was on would wear the helmet that way!!

Always on the look out for WW II Canadian Helmets and Cam nets to add to my collection.

Found a Canadian Mk II Medics Helmet and yes I know they are about as rare as hens teeth !!!!!

Thanks Leon, here's another double one, NFS & warden. I know there was a close connection with the NFS & wardens service.

That too is a fine looking helmet, I can see that by all these variations I may be getting myself into a bigger hole than I expected! Leon.
