MKII Flash Red/Black - need help to identify

Hi gentlemen,

Could you help me to identify this flash on mkII helmet date 1942.

8th Royal tank Regiment ? not sure on MKII...

Wrong type of helmet or not, 8th RTR's flash was red over light blue, not black. It could be anything. 8th Bn, Royal Fusiliers are recorded as using a very similar flash in red/dark blue. Do you have any info about the helmet?
