The shell is dated 1939 & made by BMB, the MkI liner is dated 1939 also but made by VERO & is a size 7 1/2.

Nice clean example there.
Ive heard some great stories of what the GPO did..like moving telepraph poles over houses using a-frames and ropes!!
Ive got a few ww2 GPO tools and a /I\ marked lamp and hefty folding knife.
