Picked this one up today,Cheap as Chips too
    1942 Australian MkII,
Near mint Australian sand finish, with a nice Broardarrow stamp on the Chin Strap and also on the Inner Shell.
A size 7 stamp and a CS stamp on the inner rim and a 1942 Dunlop stamped liner.
You dont get this many markings very often,so im very happy
I only wish i could find a list of the meanings of the Letters that accompany the Broardarrows.
    Cheers Mick

Looks like you did well on this one Mick.
I don't know much about commonwealth lids, but I would like to have one like that to display.
Sure want to learn about them though
I like the raw edge of the Aussie model, in comparison to the British, Canadian, American types.

    G'Day Rene,
I dont mean to be disrespectful but have you got proof that these letters are Inspectors Initials,i only ask because ive been searching for the answer for so long.
I really hope you are correct,so i can finally put this question to bed.

    Stunning Aussie helmet, WOW

Here is a holster with British Broadarrow stamp under a 1943 date and to the right an inspectors stamp, which has numbers under it, rather than letters.
