Lovely clean & Dunn & Co label, is that a felt liner inside the Mk2 liner?
Thanks! Yes, this is a felt "cap".

Yeah I've got one in this police helmet.
Is this also felt?

Whatever its just an opinion.
You and I both Jerry would love to add one of these camo lids to my own collection.
Top shelf material to be shur.

Here's one I thought I better add although it's not mine, but was allowed to take pictures of.
A Mk1* with Malta camo & net, it has the Mk1 chin strap lugs but the Mk3 chin strap meaning it was probably used long after the initial troubles on the Island.
Liner is dated 1937, see how the rust marks have bled through onto the net. Have forgotten what the flash was on the side though.
Mark,
Silly question, but have you tried contacting the archives people at SJAB Grand Priory?
If you havent, it might be worth a try, I should be able to get an address for you for the UK archives, sometime over the next week or so, (I am a UK volunteer with SJA in Hampshire) Whether they can help with the Canadian side though, I dont honestly know.
Regards etc

Thought you gents mike like a Pre arrival peak at a Canadian C.L.C. 42 I just acquired last week although the most common year of manufacture a very nice example to have in ones collection I was drawn in by the patina and ghost image on the shell left from the net.
I wont be 100% positive on the net as Canadian till I get it in hand but the weave is near Identical to my early first variation two tone camo nets the burlap and oil cloth scrim IMO looks to have been attached to the net for some time all and all a nice helmet.
As to the S.J.A.B. helmet Ian that would be good of you if you could do that for me I would greatly appreciate it .
