Morning Taka I see you have been busy my friend and you have added some fine Canadian Mk II's to your collection over the last couple of months I am particularly fond of the lime green field paint on the early 1940 C.L/.C. steel lot batch#13 you do not see a lot of these come up for sale.
I am of the opinion as well that they are indeed period done having a couple of examples in my own collection as well.
Is there by chance a small C-/l\ stamped on the exterior of the shell in the area of the chinstrap lug retaining rivet I have two in my collection were the mark can be found on the exterior of the shell both are 1940 dated C.L./C.'s with low steel lot batch numbers.

    Regards Mark
