    Hi.

I know it's a long shot, and fully I appreciate the writing on this lid is a very difficult thing to identify, but I thought maybe someone here will recognise the writing,as they may own or have seen something similar??

I think the top set of letters reads W ??M, the bottom letters E -3.

I bought it from a flea market in Cornwall,UK. So could be a Cornish Home front CD/Police?warden item...I really don't know, but would appreciate any input on this.Click image for larger version.

I can't see any letters but the FB could be for fire brigade, the other letters might be for a town or company letters.

Thanks for looking tinlid, I appreciate your input.

Looking at the pictures I supplied again, I realise It is very hard to make out any lettering at all.

The original paint was black , with red lettering.

    Thanks again.
