As you can see from the photos this helmet isn't oval like other brodie style helmets, it's perfectly circular! Light green in color, no marking or stamps as far as I can tell, the liner reminds me for those I've seen on ww1 American helmets.

I've been told it could be a transitional model though I've not seen one before.

Has anyone seen one like it or have any idea what it could be?

    Thanks

Does it have a raw edge on it like a German M42? I've seen this somewhere before I will have a dig around my bookshelves.

Hi KradSpam, it does have a raw edge, not rolled.

    Thanks, appreciate it!

I have seen one like that before, are there any stamps on the inside shell or on the liner? My guess is it's a private purchase Aussie or Brit lid.

At this point I agree with tinlid, although usually private purchase helmets have a much higher quality liner than this.

It's a New Zealand Civil Defence helmet made by Hardleys .

They were a metal fabraction factory in Auckland and made milk cans etc. They made the helmet shell with the distinctive turned down brim. The liners were made by a suit case manufacture.
