Mystery Helmet, RAF Decal, Sweedish Made, German writing? First time posting here hope to make some friends!

I doubt it was a movie prop.....just something made up to make someone happy

Very unlikely to be a prop from the movie. The film was made in Ireland not far from where I grew up. Can't see a Swedish helmet ending up in it. As it is the helmets worn by the Germans in the movie were fake M16s. Although I wonder if some Irish Vickers were also used. They might still have been around at the time the movie was made.
