Need Help Identifying a WW2 Helmet

I found this WW2 helmet in eastern Germany along the Polish border. Anybody know if it is Russian or German?

Agree with Bob. But not sure what you have done with that grenade. It is still live and could be extremely dangerous. The small rounds appear to be for an STG44 (7.92 x 33)
