There were 3 welsh districts, 20 (Cardiff), 21 (Swansea) & 22 (Colwyn Bay) and I still need a district 22 for North Wales.
It has a"paper clip" type fitting as the liner retainer which has obviously been there since back in the day. Also of interest it appears to have had another district oval at one time above the 20.
Here is my "32", I think it's Woking's District
I never explained why they repainted it with textured paint leaving out the decals, I always thought it was used for service in some military structure or airfield.
Beautiful helmets, the problem with living in Canada, we don't get much chance to buy amazing helmets like this.
In return you will be more lucky to find Canadian helmets of WW2 period, I appreciate them a lot and I have some good examples of Canadians Mk2 and HSDR in my collection.
