I know that I am posting on a dormant thread, but I a question concerning the difference between the Mk I and the Mk II?

I have what I believe to be a 1963 dated BMB Mk 2 with the Lift-The-Dot stud, no liner. Is the difference the replacement of the liner attachment screw and nut with the Lift-The-Dot liner?

    Pretty much, yes.
A bit like the Mk3 to an Mk4, with the exception of lowering the chin strap lugs.
