Default NZ homeguard or 3rd NZ Division Pacfiic Theatre Camo MKII

It was quite common for Kiwis in the home-guard to camouflage their helmets. In saying that we also fielded
the NZ 3rd Division to the Pacific during the Solomon Islands campaign 1943-1944. This MKII fits nicely into that time frame with
its Teddy Toy Company 1942 liner inside a 1941 shell.

Happy to share additional pics if anyone is interested.

You have a fine collection, what Country of origin is the helmet shell?

Aside from the stamp in pic 3 the shell has no other makers mark. It conforms to all of the British MkIIs I've owned or handled but if anyone has any thoughts on this unknown maker I'd be interested

Some camos are just "One lookers". After about one second looking at your first pic....I liked it. Looks original, I see nothing about this paint that would make me think negative from your picture

    Very nice
