    Greetings , the story goes like this .
    this was sold to a antique shop and he was told it was found in a cave on the island of Crete . it certainly shows a lot of oxidisation
    I picked this up December 2013 here in New Zealand , I have had good dealings with the dealer for 5 years plus and trust him not to make up porkies .
    any ideas ?

    It's a CDN Mk.II helmet.

    Maybe this is an ordinary British MKII and the rim is missing. Or this is MKI*.
    Any stamps?
