    Default SA MKII, Period Camo??

    Hi friends,

I stumbled upon this SA MKII (supposed to be) camo lid. The camo paint job looks relatively new, also it looks like it has a layer of red paint under the camo, maybe it was used by firebrigade. I just want a second opinion before I skip it as I would hate to miss out on a real camo lid.

Can be a bit of a mine field these camo's, it does look aged, but is it WW2?

Guess the red paint underneath isnt a good sign. Also the camo paint on the rim hasnt chipped off as it would usually do.

If ww2 period made it should have been done during the Italy campaign, but it doesnt look like other camo patterns I've seen from this theatre.

The inside appears to have the early war original olive green factory paint.
