the battalion is created in Namur, with the barracks Marie-Henriette, on the 11 October 1944. After an instruction of two months, the battalion is placed at the disposal to the 7 US army corps and attached to the 9° US army. It takes part in the side of the 9° armed to the battle of bugle, in the areas of Malmédy, Ovifat, Robertville and thereafter on the side of Eupen and Montjoie. The battalion will also make the compaign of Germany. The battalion is composed with linguistic French-speaking mens . the battalion is mainly made up by old resistant ones.
