    It looks to be in very good condition, my example is pretty worn/rusty. They don't fetch a lot of money and were private purchase I think, also commonly called a fire guards helmet.

    A good condition civilian protective helmet, there were lots of different makers of the shells & liners.
    1941 being the most common date, 1940 dated ones are the hardest to find.
