    Default WW1 Adrian Helmets Asbestos?

    Hi, I was recently considering purchasing a World War 1 Adrian helmet, however, I had also learned that WW1 British Brodie helmets contained asbestos in their liners. I was wondering if French Adrian helmets used asbestos under the leather pads ( I had noticed a type of padding under the leather tongues in photos) . I would like to avoid bringing asbestos into the house

    Sheep leather and recovered cloth (damaged uniforms, scraps of cloth from making uniforms, blankets, so on). You can see some great examples of these reused cloth liners here (.: World War Helmets - Casque Adrian modèle 15 :.). It wasn't until after the war that they switched exclusively to felt. No need to worry about asbestos in French Adrian.
