Definitely Canadian. Australian helmets don't have a rim around the edge of the brim.

I would not buy it for $100 you can find one at your local antique store (at least in my neck of the woods) for around $50.00. There are also a lot of military surplus stores (Those that are still around) that would most likely carry things such as this.

Out of curiosity, any other opinions on what is it worth?
    I told the guy $40 and I think I p***ed him off?

I agree with anton Allied helmets like British and pot helmets don't go for near as much as their German counterpart's. I could never figure out why. I've always assumed because there aren't tons of them around like there is American stuff here in the states.

If it were not repainted, it would be worth at least $75,
this seems to be the going rate here.........

I have three of those Canadian helmets. Bought for less than $40 each. Better condition too. $100 is too much.

They're for sale is anyone is interested.

I picked a Canadian MKII off of eBay, about a year ago, for $40 plus S&H...they are not hard to come by. $100 is crazy.
