    Hi
Picked this NFS MKII up at a Military Fair today for a reasonable price. I strongly suspect it’s a bit of a put together, HBH shell marked either 1938/39 the liner is double stamped with FFL MKII 1943, non original liner bolt and the cross shaped padding inside the liner has been replaced with a piece of sponge. The chinstrap is a MK3 elasticated strap.

Reference the markings, what do you think original or reproduction?WW2 British NFS MKII original or reproduction?

Liners get replaced, hard to say when but in principle I see no problem, it happened. As an example lots if south african helmets had their liners replaced in 43 with british liners

    Whatever its just an opinion.

I agree with Jerry. It could’ve been grouped together during the war.....or a week ago.

There ARE copy NFS and Fire Force transfers available....but these ones look pretty safe.

Oh, and talking of “textbooks”...... :-)

Here’s a photo of the liner, apart from EBay does anybody know where I might be able to get parts for the liner? Original mounting bolt, crown pad, adjustment lace.
