Looks like it's been on there a long time Be nice to find out what regiment/division he servered in.

The only reference i can find is the following- 475/56 AA stationed at Cambuslang power stn from Feb 18th 1941 to March 17th
Thanks for the replies - I bought it in Bristol some years ago so if it came from Cambuslang (I had to Google it to find out it was in deepest darkest Scotland) its travelled a long way!

I wonder if your helmet was attached to the 12th anti- aircraft div'. They were up in Scotland during WW2.
