    At present we think that the SA government never issued the neck flaps to go with there helmets, if you find a picture you will probably be the first person.
    Having said that, I have seen film in the Far East of soldiers man handling an artillery piece, the 3 or 4 of them had neck flaps on. I don't know if they were SA troops or not, or British troops who took a leaf out of the Japs book & maybe stuck some canvas inside of the liner to hang down the neck.
    Aussie helmets can be found sometimes on the US Ebay, & quite often on the Aussie Ebay.

    There is a really nice canadian one for sale at a pawn shop down the street from me for $75 its an mkII look at my albums, its the first album
