    Default Ferdinand ~ 3./sPzJg.Abt.653, Kursk 1943

Ferdinand 302 (chassis Nr.150098) commanded by Wachtmeister Franz Czichochewski survived the battle. The only casualty of this particular crew being the driver who was wounded in the face by shrapnel which came in through an open hatch.

Here's my interpretation in 1/35 scale of '302' with a few 'period' photographs added toward the end.

Fantastic work. These tanks look so roomy, are any around today?

ObKrieger: One Ferdinand in Russia at Kubinka and an Elefant at the United States Army Ordnance Museum's collection at Fort Lee, VA. The example at Fort Lee was restored to display condition in 2007-2008. That's the lot.
