    What a cool idea !

Do what I did......persuade the wife that you can make a diorama that can be pulled up out of the way by a series of pulleys and that you can string it from the roof !

Then made it so damn heavy that it takes two people to put it away

Hey presto ! It's in place permanently !!!

Great job , such a huge amount of work but it realy looks great.

Love the cromwell, one of my fav tanks and i actualy have the exact same model on the shelf beside me though i didnt put the tracks on

I hate putting tracks on model tanks, they come in like 100 different little peices, you have the glew them all together then bend them and mine always brake so i dont even bother now

    Superb work, Steve!

    Couple of questions:

    - Are the AFVs diecast or kits?
    - How did you do the barbed wire?

    Cheers,

    Everything is kit, 1/35th scale.

The barbed wire I made with 'beading' wire. Get a narrow gauge wire and pull a VERY long length out. Now starting at one end make a loop and tie a simple knot in the base of the loop. Move along the wire a little bit and make another loop. Tie this is a knot to. Keep moving along the wire, making loops until you have a length of wire with loops all along it. Now take a pair of scissors and cut the loops off. Re-adjust the two 'sides' of the loop and hey presto.....you have a barb ! Repeat.

It is a lengthy process and sore on the fingers but worth it

I've done a little picture for you so you can see a little better. My explanation was open to all sorts of interpretation

    Cheers

PS I make no apologies for the terribleness of the picture but at least it shows you what to do

Those AFVs are even more stunning being kit-built... I particularly like the highlighting & weathering on them. Great stuff.

The description & diagram are both perfectly clear, Steve!

Over on another forum I frequent, this chap is building a military camp as part of his model railway - If it is OK with you, I will send him this way (Don't think he has any form of BW)!

    Cheers,

    Don
