Almost done, here's a 1:48 Tamiya Hetzer I'm still busy with.
Hope you enjoyed looking at my simple works, thanks.
These are well made, well painted and very detailed especially the weathering and highlighting, i dont know if you do this already but ive always washed plastic and metal parts in soapy warm water and used a toothbrush, ive found that this removes the natural gloss of the parts and helps to adhere paint to the surface, its ideal when painting figures as some matt paints can produce a slight shine especially on clothing
I have a panzer 4 track link that I want to display and I thought I would build a model to display it with, do you mind if I ask your advice on various techniques for weathering etc during the build? I have bought a book called "modeling the late panzerkampfwagen 1V" from Osprey in the UK so hopefully that should arrive here in the next week or so and I can get started. I have found what seems to be a nice 1/35 kit by dragon which I hope will work out well. Cheers mate, Dave.
Thanks Dave and yes, I usually wash all the parts while still on the sprues. I have noticed that some of the photos show a sheen when in reality the model is completely matt, possibly something to do with the lighting. Figure painting is not a strong point with me, unfortunately.
nice builds! I fancy the whitewash panzer 4 on the first page! I love to model as well, I have a huge stash of models in my room :S
Tom, thanks mate, I would really appreciate your advice, clearly you know what you are doing your modeling skills speak for themselves.
Absolutely,positively,great models,you are very talented.
