You would need an industrial saw just to get the plastic hold things off those pieces!

It's just down the road from me at RAF Cosford. Shortly after filming finished it had to be taken away to the manufacturers of the fibreglass mouldings to be re strengthened as it was starting to flex and crack alarmingly. This was sorted out and it now sits under the port wing of the De Havilland Comet with the dummy pilot based on James May's face next to it. Naughty schoolkids have pinched bits off it at times and the arms have been pulled off more than once, but they keep putting him back together.....A bit like Douglas Bader only different limbs.
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
