Hi Guys, Martin, very good friend of mine (from 2nd Guards) along with a couple of his comrades has built this outstanding 15mm scale wargames table. It represents the attack on the village of Ponyri near Kursk 1943. The table has been built over the past year, with the hill section being anew addition built for the show. It was only after it was built was it realised it would not fit in Martin's car LOL.

The models are from various makers: Battlefront ("Flames of War"), Zvezda, Peter Pig, etc.

The attention to detail is superb as you will see.

The display won 2nd prize at last weekend's big UK war games show, "Salute" in London. I attended and played the game, as Soviets, for an hour which was great fun!

    Cheers, Ade.

A bloke down here has built a table of the battle of Waterloo with 2,500 6mm figures, some converted to represent engineers, has every piece of equipment and artillery used on the day, cavalry the lot...he started it in 1985 and finished last month.....basically everyone who wasn't the battle is represented in correct uniforms and equipment

Very impressive, this must have taken weeks to build.

Younger, with a friend we began a similar thing about the Falaise pocket.
We stopped because we needed many many tanks and trees!

    Good point Harry.

I think there were some Stukas, but they had not been brought into play.
