WW1 British Rifleman,1916 latest sculpture !

Thought to post images of my latest military figure ,Larger than previous works (approx 40cm) representing a soldier in battle order of 1916 awaiting the moment to go back to the line.
Its in a soft plastiline (not plasticine !) which made it easier to work quickly from a model. The rigid structures i chose to make in milliput as the needed to contrast with the body and uniform. I still have to emphasise the hands,and possibly stronger modelling of facial features.

Rob , how about a Vietnam vet , but a quarter size head only, with helmet and with that thousand yard stare, that would look eerie and at the same time awesome
