    Default Us ww2 round help

    Hey guys i just got this round from my dad when he went to the flea market. Can anybody help me identify this. And also i would like to clean the actual metal part of the round should i or if i can what should i use to do it. Its as big as a shell that is shot out of a battleship.

    Hi Ryan,

    Nice group of stuff your dad brought home for you!

    Can you measure this dummy around and tell us it's dimensions? It's hard for us to exactly how big it is based on the pictures. Maybe take a picture with a dollar bill or some other universally known object next to it?

    Can you read any head stampings?

    I would probably leave it if I was you but I'm not,whatever you decide to do if clean is one then be VERY gentle so wouldn't say steel wool..maybe a very soft scotchbrite pad? It's very easy to reduce an items value by attempting to clean it but of course your choice! Good luck with whatever option you decide to follow....

    Ill try that then. Honestly i dont really care about the value i just want it to look nice. Because it could be a very cool display piece.
