    Wachter died while hiding in Rome in 1949 from kidney disease. I would guess the color photo is of his son.

    I posted a thread about the documentary film a while back:

    Storyville: My Nazi Legacy: The Most Affecting Documentary Of Two Men's Confrontation With Their Fathers Crimes.

    Still one of the most moving examples of the horror of warfare and genocide that resulted both in self punishing acceptance and blind denial of two of the three individuals involved by their fathers evil legacies.
