hey guys just wondering what is the best reference to authenticating german militaria. flags,medals,insignia etc. is there any decent publications on this? cheers

There are loads of books on loads of different areas of collecting. There are several authors here on the forum. There is no one book that will cover every single facet of German militaria.

Your best bet if you need to reference a wide range of material is to use the forum and the search button to seek your answers. Books are of course invaluable but you need to buy the right ones. There are many with inaccurate or out of date information. Try and narrow down your fields of interest and the members here will be able to recommend specific books or authors to you.

mostly looking into flags and cloth insignia at the moment any books specific to that?

You could post a thread in the respective forums to see if any of the member who collects those items can recommend anything?
