WWII a highly important collection of material relating to the notorious Britischer Freikorps – the SS Cadre recruited mainly for propaganda purposes from disaffected British POW and random traitors. The collection includes eight original pamphlets from Colditz comprising: four original British free Corps pamphlets that were all distributed at Colditz^ one with the Colditz stamp. 1 “A Patriot Speaks” 2. “How Odd of God” (Hitler’s favourite piece of WW2 Propaganda!) 3. “The Axis Powers are Stronger that Their Opponents” 4. “The Big Jews and The Smaller Jews in Mr Roosevelt’s Administrative Body” One of these carries the Colditz Stamp. The group also includes four other related pamphlets that were used for educational purposes at Colditz “England Und Freimaurerei” “Research & progress” 1943 Volume VIII no 1. “Junges Europa 1943 no 7/8” “Faits et diffressur L’Allemagne” Also included are five other related pamphlets not from Colditz “Research & progress” 1943 Volume VIII no 2^ 3 & 4. “Junges Europa 1943 no 5” stamped POW book – “Facts & Figures About Germany” English language edition of “Faits et diffressur L’Allemagne”. Also included in the collection is the most famous of all BFC recruiting fliers and the Serviceman’s personal record book that contained it and four original photographs taken at the notorious propaganda camp set up for the sole purpose of recruiting allied POWs into the Nazi cause and in particular the British Free Corps. One of the photographs is stamped with Freigegeben Stalad IIID on the reverse. Those pictured could possibly be known Fascists from any English speaking country^ possibly from the British Union of Fascists. Also in the collection are three copies of THE CAMP^ the Nazi Propaganda paper aimed at recruiting Allied POWs^ a signed letter by the traitor John Amery^ who was heavily involved in founding the BFC (he was hanged after the war)^ and a copy of British Forces Daily – July 1945 featuring a lead article about Amery entitled ‘I Fought Against Bolshevism’
    Estimate:
    £4,000 - £5,000

Very rare items - I suspect that most copies ended being used in the latrines. Thank you for posting them.

Thanks for the information, the BFC must be one of the most hyped up Waffen SS formations.

I agree, the price seems absurd for a handful of what i suspect are rather dull pamphlets - they even look boring. I very much doubt that this stuff played much, if any part, in deciding men to join the BFC. Be interesting to see what they go for.
