Conversations among German Nuclear Physicists, 1945
Hi,
I came across this document and I thought it might be of some interest to you fellow collectors. It features several conversations between German nuclear physicists tapped surreptitiously in 1945 at Farm Hall. During Operation Epsilon, the Allied forces chose this location to detain ten scientists that were suspected of having worked on the Third Reich's nuclear program, namely :
- Erich Bagge
- Kurt Diebner
- Walther Gerlach
- Otto Hahn
- Paul Harteck
- Werner Heisenberg
- Horst Korsching
- Max von Laue
- Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker
- Karl Wirtz
The conversations show the physicists' thoughts on Nazi use of a nuclear bomb as well as Europe's future.
Without further ado, here is the link to the transcripts.
Enjoy!
