    Thanks for posting these images Horst interesting to see the the photos of the Japanese Embassy workers closing the gate,The attache leaving the shed were they had been destroying documents,And the burial of the Japanese pilot with military honors.
    A little different to see photos of the Japanese and what actions they were taking on that day that were not directly related to the bombing on Pearl ie...Military actions .

    This Aichi "Val" dropped it´s bomb actually and I assume, she´s trying to retourn to her carrier ?

    In addition, it looks like, the "Val" has it´s landing flaps down and in place ? ...

    I would like to thank all the veterans that served durring the attack, I was lucky to meet one this year that had recorded two aircraft kills 72 years ago today.

    Fantastic photos and thanks for sharing!.. Reibert those aren't landing flaps they are dive brakes!..

    Those are dive-breaks, and the payload had already released. The bomb rack was also dropped.

    Yes today is the day to remember those who lost their lives on December 7th 1941.
    We have several Pearl Harbor Vets in town and today they are being Honored.
