In 1980 I was stationed at Lothian barracks in Detmold , Germany. The barracks were a WW2 Panzer Kaserne.
Does anyone know which Panzer units were in Detmold during the war and which ones were stationed at what was to be Lothian barracks?

Detmold is now part of Paderborn/Senelager 'Super baracks' garrison.
It is full of 'Wedges' I'm not sure which Engineers but not 32 as there here in Hohne, It is mostly overspill type digs for pads from the lager. I think they will get rid in dew course as everthing is being centralised. I may already be out of date.

Sorry Mate,
No idea I will have a look and see if I can find out but I haven't much reference.

Hi Nick many different Panzer and Panzer Grenadier Divisons will have passed through the old Panzer training grounds in this area , it would be difficult to say who was there at a particular time without going through Div histories,
