I want to state that I didn't come here to promote this book, but after having gone through a few of the threads, I thought maybe I should mention it at least?

Kriegsprache by Thomas Houlihan (Paperback) - Lulu

Translated literally as "War Speak," Kriegssprache is a glossary of WWII German military and period specific words, phrases, abbreviations, and Landser slang. Over 7,000 abbreviations and more than 17,500 words and phrases have been collected to aid the student, historian, and researcher in translating and understanding German documents, letters, and reports from WWII.

I've gotten some pretty good feedback on it, so some of you might find it of value.
