At a time of growing nationalist and racist tensions in our world, let me restate a core truth of this site. This site is apolitical. We are interested in the character and consequences of total war and its link to the mass politics of the epoch, which we study with an interest to learn the truth. We are interested in the nature of propaganda, but this site is not a vehicle for those who wish to resurrect the goals of national socialism in the present. Seemingly innocent questions about an aspect of the past
which, in reality, are a hook to some neo Nazi hobby horse of mass persuasion are easy to spot and we stamp them out. The persons who make these posts are then banned. When they creep back here again, we ban them a second time and so forth.
This site is devoted to a politically neutral inquiry into the events, personalities, organizations, and material culture of the past to be analyzed without regard for nationality, and with the first clause of the German constitution as a leading light: human dignity is a good to preserved above all others.
If this requirement is uncomfortable or troublesome to some of you, then your interests are best served in the digital layers of the inferno in this cursed internet in which intolerance, hate, and the precursors to actual violence are celebrated at the expense of human dignity.
The moderators adhere to these guidelines with a special discipline.
And, if you actually have an interest in how Nazis fared in post war society, in Germany and beyond, there are two films of the my youth that speak far more
to this issue than does some revisionist and or esoteric political pornography:
Rosen fuer den Staatsanwalt, which I saw for the first time recently, and is very revealing about recycled Nazis in the society of the FRG in the Adenauer period
Judgment at Nuremberg, which is Hollywood, to be sure, but of a level of inquiry and reflection that is sophisticated and of enduring value after more than a half century.
Thank you F-B. Well said, as ever.

I doubt if there will be any future definitive posts regarding documented evidence as to the fate of Muller. Therefore, I am closing the thread as it seems to have run it's course. Of course, any member with new information is welcome to open a new thread on the subject.
