Himmler's capture
well i think some people on this site may have useful information so here goes.
I'm writing about the capture of H. Himmler on May 21st 1945.
Of every book I've read about Himmler not a single one has the right information.
So people, what do you know and what have you got?
hope to read something soon.
cheers

Of every book I've read about Himmler not a single one has the right information.
So people, what do you know and what have you got?
This begs three questions:
a) What are the books that you have read on the subject?
b) How do you know that they all are wrong?
c) Why do you require our information if you already know the right facts (for if that were not the case, you could not know that the books are wrong).
Also, a "please" might not be such a bad idea.

He topped himself with cyanide and he was buried in an unmarked grave on Lüneburg heath!...

i've read the following books
SS-1 by hugh thomas
himmlers diary 1945 by peter white
heinrich himmler by peter longrich
SS himmlers black order by robin lumsden
himmlers secret war by martin allen
photos of Himmler by Max Williams.
I know their all wrong as I have a, the documentation formt he regiment whom captured him
and I've met four families of the five men whom captured him
and the fifth man I know very well as he is my grandfather.
So I know the right facts, but I wish to know more. Maybe someone on here has some information I don;t have.
So when I write it in my book it will be as correct as possible and well researched something the other books have failed to do.

Wouldn't it make more sense for you to tell us what you've heard from these first-hand witnesses...for us to get an idea of where the story-lines diverge?
Is this intended to be a sort of quiz/guessing-game, or a mutual exchange of information?
cheers, Glenn

yes glenn ,, but...
I need to know what people think or know and try to work out why the others got it wrong, is it miss information or where does it stem from.
-
Sorry, Friend...I don't operate that way...But I look forward to hearing these first-hand accounts, especially if they help in correcting or adding information to the historic record...

Pity you didn't start this whilst Heinz Macher was still alive !!

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

According to you ... All the facts are "Nil" " Why bother us ? " If the facts indeed are the truth there is no need for us to get involved... Facts are facts and the truth does not lie ... Please don't riddle me this riddle me that.. Just come out straight forth... Gwar..
I'd rather be A "RaD Man than a Mad Man "
