    When this task is done I think I will do an overview of the shipyard, Werk number and year of construction for each boat. Now THAT will take some time to complete, but all worth it.

    Interesting thread. Just thought I would mentioned a book called U-Boats Destroyed by author Paul Kemp. Quite interesting as it gives info regarding the sinkings and general locations of U-boats destroyed during the war. First published in 1997 and available from Amazon in paperback. Some interesting reading.

    hi Christina,I have a book called submarines in colour by Bill Gunston.blandford press printed 1976.from the 1st subs to modern ones.
