Just saw this montage of short colourised film clips of Rommel and the Afrika Korps on the net and thought I'd post it here. Some of the footage is new to me and I hope you enjoy it too.

Nice! Thanks for sharing!
nice one Ned.
Thanks and great flick. Wonder if Fritz Bayerlein was in there somewhere. Believe he passed in 1970
Some very interesting footage Ned,
Bayerlein is centre shot at 2.53 , he died on 30/1/1970.
He was awarded the RK on 26/12/1941 so that piece of footage must predate that as he is not wearing it.
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Thanks for the added info Paul. Glad I was correct on Bayerlein's date of passing.
