    Just saw this montage of short colourised film clips of Rommel and the Afrika Korps on the net and thought I'd post it here. Some of the footage is new to me and I hope you enjoy it too.

    Thanks and great flick. Wonder if Fritz Bayerlein was in there somewhere. Believe he passed in 1970

    Some very interesting footage Ned,

    Bayerlein is centre shot at 2.53 , he died on 30/1/1970.

    He was awarded the RK on 26/12/1941 so that piece of footage must predate that as he is not wearing it.
    The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

    1st July 1916

    Thanks for the added info Paul. Glad I was correct on Bayerlein's date of passing.
