Hi Adrian the only RKT with the name Wegner was from the Grossdeutschland Divison.

Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,

Thanks Paul, I couldn't find any Kriegsmarine RKT with that name either.

Ok, thank you again Paul. The reason I ask is because I've just picked up a marked 1957 EK2 that comes with a ribbon with an elastic attachment for wearing around the neck. It reportedly came from the estate of a Korvettenkapitän Wegner who served upon the Zerstörer Rommel. Link to the ship here.
It cost no more than a regular EK2 and I bought it because I don't have a marked 1957 EK2 so no problem there. I was just curious as to the provenance behind it.

Adrian: Are you sure of the family name spelling? Here is a link to Korvettenkapitän Edward Wegener, but I don't know if this is the fellow you're looking for. Dwight

    Edward Wegener
