L.G.M. manufacturer WWII - meaning

Hi,

If it wasn't yet known, I discovered what L.G.M (Magdeburg) stands for.

You'll find it on leather German equipment: belts, ammo pouches, etc. I have this leather belt made by them and came across their name by accident.

It is LOTHAR GERECKE MAGDEBURG. Still active today by the way...

Another one to add to the inventory, if it wasn't already there... I searched and searched and didn't find.

I know this is an old thread but I found it very helpful. I just acquired an ammo pouch made by this firm and I looked up the stamps. This thread popped up.
That's why using the search engine here is what everyone should do FIRST as opposed to making a new thread, asking everyone for help. Unless of course, you would like to donate to the forum
Well, enough ranting , here's the LGM pouch. It's a bit bent out of shape, but I will put some inserts in to stretch them back soon. The back is brown and the front is black...looks period polished. There are green marks from the brass rounds being in there for a while. Dated 1939.
