Does anyone know of any documentation regarding two German Officers that, in the last three weeks of the war volunteered to go thru Russian lines for a German Hospital Group encircled in the East Prussia area.

Their Surnames are Zweirlein and Hoffman, apparently formed perimeter and armed the wounded, held off a SIGNIFICANTLY GREATER Russian Force. When eventually out of ammunition and over-run they were slaughtered and mutilated.

The daughter of Hoffman only knows there is apparrently a monument for her Father's actions , to this day ex-SS bow and support her.
