Sorry to hear about your dad passing Chris.

The book is a favorite of mine and is as already mentioned one of the best WWII memoirs from the German side. A signed edition is a great thing to have.
    Regards,

    Jerry

    Whatever its just an opinion.

I've always had a liking for autographed books-the author holding it in their hands and Signing it just makes a good book all that more special. And dedicated to your lost Father-even better!

I see with amusement that it was given an introduction by Stephen E. Ambrose. Or "The Professor" as he was known locally. A very unusual man. A scholarly historian but a fairly anti-social person. He was a neighbor of mine years ago and we talked many a night over many a drink. I dated his daughter for abit...but that's another story! lol
