Article about: hey all, does the "4" just after the M on a makers mark stand for buckles in general? What does the M stand for ? And would the "5" be for button makers? cheers |<ris

    Kris, the "M" stands for metal then the number for the item, so 4 for buckles 1 for insignia etc

    Would the code "M5/75/3" be correct on a political leader button?
    M5/75 stands for Dr. Franke & Co. KG., Ludenscheid, according to the list Pierre had the courtesy to post; but what does the "/3" stand for?
