Search for SS refrence book
When I was a kid in the early 1990's I saw some refrences of a book that listed SS members, #'s what badges they had been awarded( using small pictures of them) and other details.
I think it was a copy brought out of Germany after the war.
I am sure its rare and even repros would be, I have really zero idea what it was called.

You're probably thinking of the SS-Dienstalterslisten (i.e. officers' seniority lists).
