SS Wirtschaftsbataillon??

Hey friends,

I've just recently found out that the brother of my grandfather was attached to SS Wirtschaftsbataillon 5 at the end of the war, so if anyone knows what role in the wirtschaftsbataillons played in the SS divisions in general ? And if anyone has specifi info on "SS Wirtschafsbataillon 5" then I would be very gratefull.
