The Rutger Hauer film ws very good. There is a niche market for alternative history books and movies. Some are very good such as those written by Turteltaub. I am glad that the Hauer film is fiction though. I would not enjoy a world ruled by Nazis.

You mean Harry Turtledove, right? I found his "Worldwar" series brilliant, although its follow-up, the "Colonization" series didn't really work for me.
For those who don't know it: "Worldwar" is about an alien invasion hitting Earth during WW2.
I am aware he has written other alternate history novels dealing with WW2, but must admit I haven't read any of them (yet).
